Brian E. Fuller, MD

Dr. Fuller is joining the Associated Psychiatrists of Nashville after completing his psychiatric residency at Vanderbilt University in 2015 and medical school training at the University of Tennessee Health and Science Center in 2011. To enhance his practice, Dr. Fuller has pursued additional training through the Nashville Advanced Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Program and is a licensed buprenorphine provider. Having been mentored in residency by both Dr. Arney and Dr. West, he has been welcomed to work alongside them after demonstrating his skill in providing high-quality psychiatric care.

While medical science continues a hopeful search for new psychiatric treatments, it is clear to Dr. Fuller that careful attention must also continue to be given to the psychological, social, and spiritual factors that are being increasingly neglected in today’s culture. Accordingly, Dr. Fuller generally views medications not as solutions but rather as tools to help facilitate your recovery with an integrated or even sole emphasis on psychotherapy tailored to your individual needs. Dr. Fuller is well experienced in treating a broad degree of psychiatric conditions including but not limited to depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, addictions, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and schizophrenia. However, what matters most to Dr. Fuller is not a diagnostic label but rather the unique individual in need of care. As such, he holds your personal values as critical to the collaborative process of psychiatric treatment in helping you earn the fulfilling and meaningful life which we all deserve.
